Cash App obtient NY 'BitLicence'

Square, qui détient également une licence d'émetteur d'argent, est devenue la neuvième entreprise à recevoir la soi-disant « BitLicence » de la NYDFS et elle négociera Bitcoin via son application Cash.

Un examen approfondi a été effectué avant l'octroi de la licence, rapporte le NYDFS, qui ajoute qu'il a également examiné de près les politiques de l'entreprise en matière de lutte contre le blanchiment d'argent, de lutte contre la fraude et de cybersécurité.

Dorsey dit que la décision de négocier Bitcoin à travers l'application a été un « mouvement assez litigieux au sein de l'entreprise » et qu'il est actuellement encore une source de tension interne.
