Banco Central de la India: blockchain puede ayudar a evitar el fraude bancario

El vicegobernador del banco central de la India, Usha Thorat, ha declarado que blockchain la tecnología puede prevenir el fraude bancario.

Por ejemplo, podría haber ayudado a detener un fraude multimillonario cometido por el comerciante de diamantes Nirav Modi, quien presuntamente estafó el Banco Nacional del Punjab (PNB).

Sí a blockchain, no a crypto

El gobierno de la India anunció este año que Bitcoin y altcoins no serían considerados como moneda legal, aunque un funcionario de RBI aparentemente está experimentando con un criptográfico del banco central. Sin embargo, la India ha adoptado la tecnología blockchain.

Varios gobiernos locales del país ya están experimentando con la cadena de bloques, incluyendo una iniciativa llamada India Chain para la economía digital.

En Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa y Uttar Pradesh blockchain se utiliza para el registro de tierras.
