Two guests can enjoy an intimate meeting with the global superstar on 19th June, a day after his four-night gig at Wembley Arena. The winning bidder can also take home a guitar signed by Sheeran and two exclusive VIP tickets to an evening hosted by Dermot O’leary, Annie Mac, Sara Cox and Sheeran.
The auction has been organised to support the London Irish Centre, a charity which acts as a home-from-home to young Irish emigrants by providing services, projects and events. Running until 4pm on 14th June, it accepts bids in AidCoin, which aims to become the preferred method to donate to charity, as well as Bitcoin and Ethereum.
This is another example of the trend for celebrities to fund campaigns with cryptocurrencies. It follows an auction for a power lunch with Bitcoin.com Chief Executive Roger Ver, and teaming up with Naomi Campbell for her Fashion For Relief campaign.
Francesco Nazari Fusetti, Chief Executive and Co-founder of CharityStars, says: “2018 has already seen a surge in popularity of celebrities and organisations choosing to accept crypto donations and advocate AidCoin. Myself and the team have every hope in its potential to become the leading name within this new era of charitable giving.”
